Sanitary drainage system

Sanitary drainage system - Northeast coast of Venezuela

Design, construction and rehabilitation of sanitation and wastewater infrastructures in the municipalities of Píritu, Puerto Píritu, Barcelona, Lechería and Clarines, in the Anzoátegui province.

 

Scope of the project:

  • Rehabilitation of 12 pumping stations;
  • Reconstruction of a surge chamber;
  • Rebuilding of a 4.1 km offshore sewage outfall;
  • Procurement and installation of 3.6 km of HDPE discharge ducts 16" to 30" in diameter;
  • Procurement and installation of 15.2 km of HDPE trunk sewers (gravity sewers) 10" to 24" in diameter;
  • Construction of a pumping and primary treatment station with a capacity of 205 l/s;
  • Construction of a 1 km HDPE offshore sewage outfall 24" in diameter.

 

Services rendered

 

Dessau International is in charge of the engineering, procurement, overall management of the project, construction management and of the construction work for a portion of the job:

 

  • Engineering: Studies, preliminary design and detail engineering, preparation of plans and technical specifications for consultation files and site supervision;
  • Environmental impact study: Preparation of terms of reference and supervisioProcurement: Preparation of call for tenders documents, launch of calls for tenders, granting of contracts and management of markets for the acquisition of all equipment to be installed as part of the project: pumps and control panels, generators, valves, HDPE ducts (gravity and pressure), wall-mounted valves and equipment for primary treatment;
  • Overall project management: Planning, coordination and control of all activities related to the project, including supervision and control of costs and schedules;
  • Construction management: Coordination and control of all works to be carried out by local sub-contractors;
  • Construction: Contractor role in building gravity sewers and discharge ducts.
