Urban Development

Creative solutions have propelled Dessau to the forefront of North American trends in the urban development sector. Supported by extensive experience with municipal road, water and other infrastructures, as well as expertise acquired on hydraulic and hydrology projects, the firm’s Urban Development Division is committed to the sound growth of communities.

Although it has diversified its activities over the years, Dessau remains true to traditional municipal engineering, adopting a long-term vision, which has translated into the development of an integrated Municipal Asset Management Program implemented in a number of Quebec municipalities. This program seeks to provide city officials with guidelines for planning the rehabilitation or replacement of pavement, sewers, aqueducts and other municipal infrastructures for periods of up to 60 years.

The quality and reliability of the division’s professional services, which include the strategic planning, design and construction of commercial and industrial facilities, public infrastructures and urban networks, have earned the trust of municipal decision-makers.  As a result, by now, virtually every city in Quebec has benefited from Dessau’s expertise!
